Schon seit längerer Zeit habe ich mit dem Gedanken gespielt, einmal einen echten Endurohelm zu testen. Die Firma Touratech hat mir freundlicherweise dazu ihren brandneuen Sporthelm Aventuro pro Carbon (Made by Nexx) zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Hauptmerkmale dieses Helmes sind seine Variabilität, sein großes Windschild, das gerade bei tief stehender Sonne seine Vorteile ausspielt und die Blendwirkung erheblich reduziert, sowie der hohe Sicherheitsstandard.
Aventuro Pro
Selbstverständlich ist der Helm nach der neuesten ECE-Norm 22.06 geprüft. Seine hochfeste X-Pro Carbon Helmschale ist in 3 verschiedenen Größen erhältlich und hat ein Gewicht von ca. 1500 Gramm (plus/minus je nach Anbauteilen). Insgesamt sind mit den 3 Schalen somit Größen von XS bis 3 XL realisierbar. Das ist überzeugend. Doch nicht nur hier überzeugt der Helm, denn auch seine Belüftung ist hervorragend. Im neu gestalteten Kinnteil befinden sich zwei Belüftungseinheiten, eine zum Klappen und eine zum Schieben, die für eine ständige Frischluftzufuhr sorgen. Auch über dem großen Panoramavisier mit Pinlockscheibe hört die Belüftung des Helmes nicht auf. 3 große Lüftungsschieber belüften hier den Kopfbereich und 2 weitere kleine rechts und links sowie in der Mitte oberhalb des Visiers die Stirn. Wie man sich vorstellen kann, ist gerade bei heißen Temperaturen die Belüftung des Kopfes eine echte Herausforderung, die der Aventuro erfüllt. Das bereits erwähnte Panoramavisier sorgt zudem für ein sehr großes Sichtfeld, was sich natürlich gerade beim Einsatz im Gelände aber auch im Straßenverkehr auszahlt. Leider vermisst man eine integrierte Sonnenblende, die dem ansonsten sehr gut ausgestatteten Helm sehr gut zu Gesicht stehen würde.
Ausstattung und Zubehör
Aber was macht ihn eigentlich zum Multi-Tool? Ganz einfach, neben der Konfiguration als Endurohelm kann man natürlich auch alle Komponenten abnehmen und ihn als normalen Integralhelm, oder mit Crossbrille fahren. Somit bietet er ein breites Einsatzspektrum und praktisch für jeden die passende Helmkonfiguration. Mir persönlich hat wie zu erwarten die Variante mit dem großen Windschild und dem Visier unterwegs am besten gefallen, zumal die Windgeräusche trotz Verkleidungsscheibe sehr erträglich waren (Testmaschine BMW R1200R und Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1000). Zu den bereits genannten Vorteilen kommt noch die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Action-Cams und Kommunikationssysteme zu montieren. Das von Touratech angebotene Sena System habe ich hier nicht verwendet, aber auch das Cardo Packtalk lässt sich problemlos befestigen und die Kopfhörer im Helm montieren. Auch wenn es dem einen oder anderen nicht wichtig erscheint, sind diese technischen Features heutzutage nicht mehr wegzudenken und zu vernachlässigen, da wir nun einmal immer Multimedialer werden.
Innere Werte
Was er von außen verspricht, hält er auch innen. Sein Coolmax-Futter überzeugt. Es schmiegt sich sanft an Stirn und Wangen an, ist zudem schweißhemmend, antiallergisch und natürlich waschbar. Durch die Ergo-Padding-Funktion (unterschiedlich dicke Schaumstoffpolsterstreifen) lässt sich der Helm zudem perfekt und individuell an die Kopfform seines Trägers anpassen und erweitert auch hier das mögliche Einsatzspektrum.
Sicherheit
Aber auch an die Sicherheit wurde gedacht, denn neben dem Doppel-D-Verschluss kann das Innenfutter durch das integrierte F.R.S. Emergency Strap System bei einem Unfall schnell und sicher entfernt werden, um den Helm abzunehmen. Alles in allem bietet Touratech mit dem Aventuro pro Carbon Sporthelm und seinen Funktions- und Ausstattungsmerkmalen so ein echtes Multitool für Tourenfahrer, Vielfahrer und Individualisten.
Fazit
Ab 599€ bekommt man einen Helm der neuesten Generation. Ausgestattet mit 8-facher Belüftung, geringem Gewicht, verdammt viel Zubehör und den bereits genannten Vorteilen ist er unserer Meinung nach jeden Cent wert. Etwas schade ist die fehlende Sonnenblende und wie nicht anders zu erwarten hat er bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten auf der Autobahn durch das große Windschild eine gewisse Windanfälligkeit. Letzteres ist aber bei dieser Art von Helm nicht ungewöhnlich und kann vernachlässigt werden. Wer also ein echtes Multitool sucht, gerne filmt und auch gerne kommuniziert, wer lange Touren fährt und sich gerne den Fahrtwind um die Nase wehen lässt, der macht mit dem Touratech Aventuro pro keinen schlechten Kauf. Am Ende zählt aber wie bei jedem Helmtest: Selbst ausprobieren und fahren, denn nur dann kann man sich eine eigene Meinung bilden.

Touratech Aventuro PRO Carbon sports helmet. The multi tourer.
I have been toying with the idea of testing a real enduro helmet for some time now. Touratech kindly provided me with their brand new Aventuro pro Carbon sports helmet ( Made by Nexx). The main features of this helmet are its versatility, its large wind shield, which really comes into its own when the sun is low in the sky and significantly reduces glare, and its high safety standard.
Aventuro Pro
It goes without saying that the helmet has been tested in accordance with the latest ECE standard 22.06. Its high-strength X-Pro carbon helmet shell is available in 3 different sizes and weighs approx. 1500 grams (plus/minus depending on the add-on parts). In total, sizes from XS to 3 XL can be realised with the 3 shells. That is impressive. But the helmet is not only convincing in this respect, as its ventilation is also excellent. There are two ventilation units in the newly designed chin section, one for folding and one for sliding, which ensure a constant supply of fresh air. The ventilation of the helmet does not stop above the large panoramic visor with Pinlock lens. Here 3 large ventilation sliders ventilate the head area and 2 further small ones on the right and left and in the centre above the visor ventilate the forehead. As you can imagine, ventilating the head is a real challenge, especially in hot temperatures, which the Aventuro fulfils. The aforementioned panoramic visor also ensures a very large field of vision, which of course pays off when used off-road but also in road traffic. Unfortunately, the helmet lacks an integrated sun visor, which would be a great addition to this otherwise very well-equipped helmet.
Features and accessories
But what actually makes it a multi-tool? Quite simply, in addition to the configuration as an enduro helmet, you can of course also remove all components and ride it as a normal full-face helmet or with cross goggles. It therefore offers a wide range of uses and practically the right helmet configuration for everyone. As expected, I personally liked the version with the large windshield and visor best on the road, especially as the wind noise was very tolerable despite the windscreen (test bike BMW R1200R and Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1000). In addition to the advantages already mentioned, it is also possible to mount various action cams and communication systems. I didn’t use the Sena system offered by Touratech here, but the Cardo Packtalk can also be easily attached and the headphones mounted in the helmet. Even if it doesn’t seem important to some, these technical features are indispensable these days and should not be neglected, as we are becoming increasingly multimedia-orientated.
Inner values
What it promises on the outside, it also delivers on the inside. Its Coolmax lining is impressive. It gently moulds to the forehead and cheeks, is sweat-inhibiting, hypoallergenic and, of course, washable. Thanks to the Ergo Padding function (foam padding strips of different thicknesses), the helmet can also be perfectly and individually adapted to the shape of the wearer’s head, extending the range of possible uses.
Safety
Safety has also been taken into consideration, as in addition to the double-D fastener, the integrated F.R.S. Emergency Strap System allows the inner lining to be removed quickly and safely in the event of an accident in order to remove the helmet. All in all, with the Aventuro pro Carbon sports helmet and its functional and equipment features, Touratech offers a real multi-tool for touring riders, frequent riders and individualists.
Conclusion
From €599 you get a helmet of the latest generation. Equipped with 8-way ventilation, low weight, a hell of a lot of accessories and the advantages already mentioned, we think it’s worth every cent. The lack of a sun visor is a bit of a shame and, as you would expect, the large wind shield makes it somewhat susceptible to wind at high speeds on the motorway. However, the latter is not unusual for this type of helmet and can be ignored. So if you’re looking for a real multi-tool, enjoy filming and communicating, ride long tours and like to have the wind blowing around your nose, the Touratech Aventuro pro is not a bad buy. But in the end, as with every helmet test, what counts is that you try it out and ride it yourself, because only then can you form your own opinion.
