Produkttest: QUAD LOCK Smartphone Halterung (English Version in Between)

Die Frage der Fragen ist navigiere ich frei Schnauze, per Navi oder Smartphone. Entscheidet man sich für das Smartphone ist die Masse an Halterungen, die man im Internet oder bei den örtlichen Händlern käuflich erwerben kann, ist so mannigfaltig wie die Menge an Smartphones selbst. Dabei sind die Preisspannen und Ausstattungen der einzelnen Befestigungen höchst unterschiedlich. Schnell ist man da auch einmal überfordert und für ein Premium Produkt locker 100 Euro und mehr los. Aus diesem Grund ist eine Frage natürlich vollkommen berechtigt. Ist es das am Ende tatsächlich wert? Meiner Erfahrung nach ganz klar Ja, denn wenn ich wirklich mit dem Handy auf dem Motorrad navigieren möchte, dann auch so dass dem meist teuren Stück nichts passiert.

Lange ist es daher her, dass ich mich auf Universalhalterungen verlassen habe und so blieben am Ende trotz der Auswahl nur 2 Systeme für mich und meine Anforderungen übrig. Zum einen wäre da SP – Connect gewesen, zum anderen die Halterung von Quadlock. Nach einigem für und wider der beiden Systeme war am Ende Quadlock der Gewinner und das habe ich bisher auch nicht bereut. Im Packet mit dabei waren das eigentliche Case für das Telefon, eine Wasserschutzhülle, die sehr gut funktioniert solange es nicht aus Eimern schüttet, die Motorrad/Fahrradhalterung für den Lenker, 3 Gummiringe für die verschiedenen Lenkerstärken und eine Saugnapflösung die ich seither im Auto verwende. Alles ist sehr wertig verarbeitet und funktioniert im Dauereinsatz ausgezeichnet. Sowohl auf dem Mountainbike wie auch am Motorrad hatte ich bisher keinerlei Ausfälle. Allerdings habe ich fürs Motorrad mittlerweile eine weitere Halterung angeschafft, die ins Rammountsystem passt. So ist der Wechsel zwischen Camera und Handy einfach leichter und man hat nicht zu viele verschiedene Befestigungen am Lenker.

Mit der Calimoto oder beim Fahrrad mit der Komoot App lässt es sich seither für mich simple navigieren, das Phone durch die Federeigenschaft der Werkstoffe keinen zu harten Stößen im normalen Verkehr ausgesetzt ist. SP-Connect musste hier kürzlich erst mit einem sogenannten ein „Anti-Vibration-Modul“ nachlegen, da es wohl mit dem einen oder anderen Kunden Probleme gab und dessen Telefon die Stöße nicht aushielten.

It has therefore been a long time since I relied on universal mounts and so in the end, despite the choice, only 2 systems remained for me and my requirements. On the one hand there would have been SP – Connect, on the other hand the mount from Quadlock. After some pros and cons of the two systems, Quadlock was the winner in the end and I have never regretted that. The package included the actual case for the phone, a water protection cover that works very well as long as it doesn’t pour out of buckets, the bike/bike mount for the handlebars, 3 rubber rings for the different handlebar strengths and a suction cup solution that I have been using in my car ever since. Everything is very well made and works excellent in continuous use. On the mountain bike as well as on the motorbike I had no failures so far. However, I have now purchased another mount for the motorcycle, which fits into the Ram mount system. So, the change between camera and mobile phone is simply easier and you do not have too many different attachments on the handlebars.

With the Calimoto or on the bike with the Komoot app I can navigate easily, the phone is not exposed to hard impacts in normal traffic due to the spring properties of the materials. SP-Connect recently had to add a so-called „anti-vibration module“, because there were probably problems with one or the other customer and his phone could not stand the shocks.

Montagemöglichkeiten

Die Montagemöglichkeiten sind natürlich mannigfaltig, da praktisch für jeden Bereich eine passende Halterung zur Verfügung steht. Und natürlich gibt es auch Halterungen, die das Laden des Handys gleich mit übernehmen. Ist das Gerät einmal am Fahrzeug befestigt kann es zudem senkrecht oder waagerecht ausgerichtet werden und wird beim Abmachen, einfach mit der Blauen Lasche entriegelt. Praktischen denn diese Lasche ist einfach zu bedienen und kann zudem in jeder gewünschten Position ausgerichtet werden. Steckt man das Handy wieder auf reicht ein leichter Druck und eine kurze Drehung in die gewünschte Richtung und schon ist das gerät wieder sicher montiert.

Once the device is attached to the vehicle, it can also be aligned vertically or horizontally and is simply unlocked with the blue tab when removed. Practical because this tab is easy to use and can also be aligned in any desired position. When the mobile phone is put on again, a light pressure and a short turn in the desired direction is enough and the device is safely mounted again.

Fazit

Kommt abschließend natürlich die Frage: Hält die Quadlockhalterung das was der Preis verspricht? Ich sage: JA! Die einfache Montage- und Funktionsweise, die Verarbeitungsqualität und das solide Design aus stabilem Kunststoff ist sehr gut. Die diversen Möglichkeiten, wie man die Halterungen am Motorrad befestigen kann, sind so variabel, dass es für jeden passen sollte. Wer also wie ich auch oft auf dem Motorrad im Auto, oder auf dem Fahrrad navigiert und das Handy nicht gerne in der Hose oder der Jacke spazieren fährt der wird diese Investition keinesfalls bereuen. Und auch wenn der Handyvertrag mal abläuft und ein neues Gerät ansteht, die passende neue Hülle gibt es bei Quadlock dafür ganz bestimmt.

The various ways of attaching the mounts to the bike are so variable that it should fit everyone. So if you navigate on the bike in the car or on the bike like I do and you don’t like to ride the mobile phone in your trousers or jacket, you will not regret this investment. And even if your mobile phone contract expires and you need a new device, Quadlock will provide you with a suitable new cover.
