Der Held Air n Dry Tourenhandschuhe 2-IN-1 ist einer der vielseitigeren Tourenhandschuhe auf dem Motorradmarkt. Dabei empfiehlt er sich als perfekter Reisebegleiter für lange Touren, ebenso wie auf der spontanen Feierabendrunde in heimischen Gefilden. Universell, variabel durch das zwei Kammern System einsetzbar, steckt er einen Großteil an Wetterbedingungen locker weg.
Mit ihm hat man in der unteren Kammer einen luftigen Sommerhandschuh an den Händen, der durch den Fahrtwind ordentlich durchströmt wird. Gefühlt, aber etwas weniger stark als bei einem reinen Sommerhandschuh, doch immer noch genug, um ein gutes Gefühl zu haben. Ändert sich das Wetter, oder man kommt gerade im Herbst auch in höhere Gefilde, dann wechselt man eben in die Kammer ‚dry‘ mit Pique-Push-Pull Fütterung (100% Polyester) und hat so einen top funktionierenden Allwetterhandschuh. Inklusive der verbauten Gore-Tex-Membrane und dem Futter basierend auf PTFE-Material hat man somit dauerhaft einen wasser-/winddichten und atmungsaktiven Handschuh an den Händen.
Hierbei fällt auch die bei Held bekannte hohe Verarbeitungsqualität auf, denn trotz des speziellen 2 Kammern Aufbaues gibt es im Inneren kein Gefühl einer Materialanhäufung, oder gar einer Faltenbildung des Gewebes. Das schafft ein sauberes Griffgefühl an den Fingern in beiden Kammern. Einzig die Stulpen sind ähnlich wie bei anderen Modellen auch hier etwas zu eng geraten, sodass es selbst bei der weitesten Stellung schwer fällt sie über dem Ärmel einer voll ausgestatteten Textiljacke zu tragen.
Weiteren Ausstattungsfeatures sind eine durchlüftete Hartplastikschale als Knöchelschutz an den Gelenken, die Oberhand aus DU PONT CORDURA® (100% Polyamid) mit Lederbesatz, die Innenhandverstärkungen, sowie ein Handballen-/Handkantenverstärkung aus SuperFabric Brand Material. Weiters hat der Zeigefinger der linken Hand, wie für einen guten Tourenhandschuh üblich, eine Wischlippe für das Visier. Der Handrücken ist mit Leder Stretch Einsätzen für den perfekten Sitz, die perforierte Innenhand aus hochfestem Känguruleder hergestellt und sorgt für umfassende Atmungsaktivität. Und auch die Navigations- oder Handybedienung funktioniert damit einwandfrei. Vorgeschriebene Sicherheitsfeatures sind dann noch die Klettverschlüsse für die Weitenverstellung am Handgelenk und an den Stulpen.
Fazit
Sehr positiv bei den Air n Dry 2-IN-1 Handschuhen fiel die gute Passform, der bequeme Sitz und die gute Verarbeitung auf. Alles ist wertig gestaltet, durchdacht und konstruiert und erfüllt sehr gut seine Zwecke.
Nicht so gut gefielen uns hingegen die Stulpen. Sie sind für Textilkombis einfach etwas zu eng ausgelegt worden und man ist immer im Zwiespalt, darüber oder darunter ziehen, wenn es möglich ist.
Nutzbar je nach Motorrad ist der Handschuh von Frühling bis Herbst uneingeschränkt, dann wird es ohne Griffheizung oder Handschalen doch etwas frisch, selbst in der oberen warmen Kammer.
Bei den Größen ist jedoch wieder alles im grünen Bereich, denn es gibt ihn von
Größe 7 – 12 im Unisexformat und das Ganze ich zwei Farbvariationen Schwarz und Schwarz/Grau
Der Preis liegt derzeit bei rund: 220,00Euro
Damit ist der Held Air n Dry 2-IN-1 kein billiger Handschuh, aber ein sehr universell und in verschiedenen Temperaturbereichen einsetzbarer. Zudem ist er absolut dicht und sehr bequem.

Glove Test: HELD Air n Dry Touring Gloves 2-IN-1.
The Held Air n Dry Touring Gloves 2-IN-1 is one of the more versatile touring gloves on the motorbike market. It is the perfect travel companion for long tours as well as for a spontaneous after-work ride at home. Universally and variably usable thanks to the two-chamber system, it easily copes with most weather conditions.
In the lower chamber, you have an airy summer glove on your hands, which is properly ventilated by the wind. It feels a bit less than a pure summer glove, but still enough to feel good. If the weather changes, or you reach higher altitudes in autumn, you can switch to the ‚dry‘ chamber with pique-push-pull lining (100% polyester) and have a top-performing all-weather glove. Including the built-in Gore-Tex membrane and the lining based on PTFE material, you have a waterproof, windproof and breathable glove on your hands.
Held’s well-known high quality of workmanship is also noticeable here, because despite the special 2-chamber construction, there is no feeling of material piling up inside, or even of the fabric wrinkling. This creates a clean grip feeling on the fingers in both chambers. Only the cuffs are a little too tight, similar to other models, so that even in the widest position it is difficult to wear them over the sleeve of a fully equipped textile jacket.
Further features are a ventilated hard plastic shell as knuckle protection at the joints, the backhand made of DU PONT CORDURA® (100% polyamide) with leather trim, the palm reinforcements, as well as a palm/hand edge reinforcement made of SuperFabric Brand material. Furthermore, the index finger of the left hand has a wiping lip for the visor, as is usual for a good touring glove. The back of the hand has leather stretch inserts for the perfect fit, while the perforated palm is made of high-strength kangaroo leather and provides extensive breathability. And it also works perfectly for navigation or mobile phone operation. The Velcro fasteners for width adjustment on the wrist and cuffs are also mandatory safety features.
Conclusion
The Air n Dry 2-IN-1 gloves‘ good fit, comfortable fit and good workmanship were very positive. Everything has a high-quality design, is well thought-out and constructed and serves its purpose very well.
However, we didn’t like the cuffs as much. They are just a little too tight for textile suits and you are always in a quandary about whether to pull them over or under, if possible.
Depending on the motorbike, the glove can be used from spring to autumn without restriction, but then it does get a bit chilly without grip heating or hand shells, even in the upper warm chamber.
With the sizes, however, everything is again in the green zone, because it is available from
Size 7 – 12 in unisex format and the whole thing in two colour variations: black and black/grey.
The price is currently around 220.00 euros.
This means that the Held Air n Dry 2-IN-1 is not a cheap glove, but one that can be used very universally and in different temperature ranges. It is also absolutely leak-proof and very comfortable.
